Has anyone had a c-section and I know that there are some bleeding but how much is to much and for how long does it last? I had my c-section 8 days ago and I know I am suppose to bleed but there is alot still and it is bright red and there are clots that are the size of a golf ball. Is that normal?

" I bled pretty heavily after my c section for nearly two weeks and lightly for another three, but if you are concerned you can always call your local hospital's nurses line or you doctor. If you feel uneasy about it then there normally is enough reason to bring it too someone's attention. "

" My dr cleaned me out pretty good after my c-section. I bled heavily for 5-6 days and just a liitle spotting after that for a week. I might ask your dr just in case but from what I understand as long as you not soaking a maxi pad every 15 minutes you should be fine, even with the clots. My boys were in the hospital for almost 2 weeks so I had lots of time with the nurses asking them questions (LOL I worry alot). "

" I bled pretty heavy for the first 2 weeks and then lighter for another 2. I would call the dr. just to be on the safe side. I passed some clots, but none that big. "
