You are right. The side by side are good only for running/jogging with the kids. The stroller which the car seats attach is the best way to go woth twins and easy to get between clothing racks and etc. Most of them comes with cups holders and a little storage place with a lid that closes.I always kept extra diapers/travel size wipes and pacifers in it.A lot better than bringing a diaper bag in department stores.

I'm looking at getting the Kolcraft tandum stroller. Unfortunately it seems to only come in Ruby red and I'm much prefer a dark blue. However with that it has options to snap in car seats (it accomadates most brands) plus the bigger seats it uses when the kids get to big for the car seat option can face forwards or backward or towards each other or away from each other. It has tons of under seat storage and the reviews say its pretty amiable for getting around stores and that its not as cumbersome as other tandum strollers are. Go to Kolcraft.com to check out its other features.

I have the one that is the frame that the seats snap into. It is so easy and convenient, I have the regular tandem also but I wont use that until they are out of the infant sesats. The frame is very manuverable too, I highly recommend it.

I loved the snap n go when my twins were little. It's easy to take them for walks or shopping in stores. Once they grew out of the infant car seats, I bought the Maclaren side by side double stroller. I love it. It's the same size (width) as a wheelchair so it fits in doorways and aisles for shopping. I liked it better than the tandem because both children's seats go into a recline position which makes napping on the go easier. Plus storage on the bottom and in the back.

My twins arent here yet but Twins run in my family and we all agree on one thing. Side by sides are a HUGE PAIN! They dont fit through doors and they take up an entire sidewalk plus. They are also very inconvenient to store as they are so wide.
I recently purchased this stroller and I absolutely love it (I kept going abck to the store to try it out. The handle makes it a breeze to turn and it is compatible with infant car seats. The price on this site is a tad high but you can often find it cheaper other palces
Hope this helps

Get the tandem. The carseats we got snap in and then it can be used w/out it when they get bigger.
I have the Duo-glider and it is the best!

I had the snap and go when my babies were first born and loved it and when they grew out of that i had the side by side Combi and it had some good features like it only weighed 19 lbs no one was kicking the front seat and it was easy to get in and out of the car in a hurry. Now I have the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem and love love love it. If this stroller was available when I was prego it would have saved me a ton a money. babies can face eachother, back to back, one in front of the other, facing forward or backward. Parent tray and huge basket underneath. Also both seats fully recline with 2 nice big canopies. Aside from being heavy it is everything you would need. Unfortunatley there is not one stroller out there that has it all so you pick and choose what features you can not live without and go from there. It also hold most car seats so it really is all in one. I promise I don't worl for the company!:))

I'm registered for the Graco duoglider. My girlfriend has twins and she said it was the BEST. Its a travel system so you can buy 2 infant car seats to snap in.

I have used the Graco Duoglider for TWO sets of twins and still love it! It is long but easy to manuever and fits in aisles and through doors. Also, the basket underneath is so big, I would put all my groceries in the basket, then asked for a cart at checkout and had a bagboy push it to my car. Super easy. Try a few out in the store before you decide but I love mine!

I went with the car seat/stroller frame by Peg Pergo - bought it on e-bay...the primo vaggio..I LOVED IT!!!!
It carried everything...diaper bag, little playmate cooler and extras in the bottom net. It came with bassenettes for when they got older...
Now I use a sidebyside fold up stroller that i bought at a tag sale for $10...Its easy and light...just used it at Disney and it worked out well...
Stroller is important and this worked well for the three of us...Good luck!!
