Feeding babyfood

My doctor told me I could start giving my girls more babyfood. I was feeding them cereal in the morning and at night with a jar of babyfood for lunch. She told me I could start adding more food at breakfast and dinner time. So I started giving them fruit with their cereal in the morning, 2 jars at lunch and then one with their cereal at dinner. Is this too much and is it normal for their bottle intake to go down? Should I still offer them a bottle after they are finished eating or should I wait so they drink more? I'm trying to get this whole thing down and I want to make sure that they get all the nutrition they are supposed to have. Thanks!

" Hi prego Yes their bottle intake will dwindle. How old are the twins?4-6 months is my guess, if 6 months would you be up for trying some watered down juice in a slow flow sippy cup? My girls are 11 months and for the most part they have a bottle in the morning another in the afternoon and 1more for bed. Sometimes they want more and that is fine with me! Just relax they will let you know what they want . God Bless Karen "

" Here's what my girls have been eating:

7am nurse
10am 4tbsp oatmeal each mixed with 1 oz breastmilk and 1/2 container fruit each and a 6 oz bottle
1pm 4tbsp oatmeal (same mix as above) 1 container of veggies each and 4 oz diluted apple juice in a sippy cup
4pm 6 oz bottle
7pm nurse then 1 conatinaer of veggies each and oatmeal (mixed as above)
9pm nurse then bed
4am may get up to nurse again

I know it sounds like alot, but they are petite girls, I think they're just very active. Add more food slowly and keep following the 4-7 day rule with new foods. We are actually adding table foods now like mashed potatoes and yogurt (and frozen waffles)
They'll let you know when they are full and that can be your guide. "
