I am having trouble finding a healthy position to feed the twins. I don't want to prop the bottle because of ear infections etc. I tried the podee hands free bottles today and was disappointed that they don't have the suction that they need to feed. I am at a loss at the moment. Can anyone offer any advice.

When my girls were little bitty I had a boppy. I would set the boppy up right next to me along with one of the girls and then I sat the other on my lap with my feet propped so that they were at a good feeding angle so to say. I would hold both bottles with each hand. Once they drank about half I would sit one up and burp her and then the one on the boppy I would burp her while the other just laid on my lap. They were usually really good about being patient with mommy while sissy had to be burped. One of mine had problems burping so sometimes I would lie her on her tummy when she was able to lift her head and finished feeding the other till that burp came out. Hey might not be the best solution but it worked for me when I was by myself!

Oh yeah I also had the podee too and you have to suck on the nipple to get the milk to start flowing. I think the babies just don't have enough suction yet and by you doing this part helps them out and then you are hands free! yay! Oh also another idea is their car seats. Put them both in the carseats which already props them and hold a bottle in each hand. Let them drink about half way and then burp them and continue with the rest of their bottle. Usually if you get "something" into their tummies they won't do a blood curling cry. They might wine just a bit but by that time hopefully the other has burped.

When my boys were tiny, I had tried to get them on just slightly different feeding schedules..about 20 minutes apart. I liked to hold them and feed for the one on one time. However, that was not always possible, so at times I would put them in their bouncy chairs one on each side of me and feed both at the same time. They were not laying down flat, they were proped up as much as if I were holding them. I actually got pretty good where I could burp one and use my foot to rock the chair for the other. You will figure it out, just takes time and patients.
Hope this helped.

My twins are five months old and now that they feed together I place one in a Bobby pillow and the other in my lap proped by my knee. When I would stop to burp I would switch their position. My husband recently bought another pillow and now sometimes I place one in each pillow and I sit in the middle. My daughter had acid reflux and the angle really helps her. She has no problems.
