Well I had two beautiful baby boys on 1/14/08 at only 25 weeks. One was born naturally at 5:29pm and the other via a c-section at 6:35pm. They are currently in the NICU, where they will remain for a few months. Both have suffered from brain bleeds, one more sever from the other, but are starting to grow stronger every day. They are so tiny, only 1lb 13oz and 1lb 5.5oz at birth and they are slowly gaining more weight. Has any one else been in this extreme situation with any advice? It seems that most people I have come across have 'older' preemies but not many around 25 weeks.
Also I wanted to see if any one knew what could cause a bulging bag of water. When I finally reached the hospital they found that my bag was bulging and I was 5cm dilated and couldn't do anything to stop labor. I am just curious what causes that and what the chances were that would happen again if I did become pregnant again. Thanks for any advice! Posted on 01/27/08, 08:01 pm |

My prayers are with you and your children. I had the same experiance with my son. The bulging bag was probably caused by contractions. I was having them, but they were so small I didn't really pay them much attention. But when it comes to the bleeding be sure to keep the doctors on there toes and make sure the get plenty of MRI's. My son had the same thing wrong with him and the only checked it once with an MRI. They also can check by ultrasound, but MRI is better. Good luck, Honey
