Use of infant positioning devices?

My sister used this positioning device that looked like it had two adjustable cylinders to keep on the baby's side so she could not roll or move. I am going to have my twins co-sleep at first and was wondering if anyone else used these? Are they safe? Would it help to keep them on their own side? Thank for your input!

" Yes, I LOVE my sleep positioners. My twins are ALL over their cribs if I don't use them and they are only 5 months old. It also gives me peace of mind knowing that they haven't rolled over in their sleep and I can rest better! "

" If baby wants to roll and move around, let them!
Our little ones move around in their sleep a lot. With the sleep positioners, they could get frustrated and wake up. "

" I don't think they would get frustrated. The postitioners are great and like swaddling I think they help younger babies feel like they're still being held. "

" These don't stop mine from rolling around at all and just end up making them mad, so mine are setting under the crib. "

" I say it's a waste of $ too. Rolled up recieving blankets, swaddling, or just letting them be. They won't use them long! "
