" I was diagnosed with TB in July and felt very nauseaus with the medication. By mid August when I came off the prenisone I had quite a marked reaction, landing up in hospital again. I had an overall itchy rash but also, more worryingly, a rash that looked like a meningitis rash. A lumbar puncture was done and it was discovered that my white blood cells were very low. It was decided that the prednisone had been masking the reaction against the TB meds. I was taken off the meds and put back on steroids. A am battling getting back on the meds as I am very nauseaus, I am trying again starting with low dosis of the rifampicin, hopefully building up slowly. What reaction did you have to the meds, have you been able to sort it out? "
