It seems the 400 mgs of Tegretol is not working. I'm going to have to figure out a way to bring it up to 600 mgs as my neuro ordered. I had such a terrible attack last night and I was screaming and crying in pain. It lasted most of the evening. My poor hubby didn't know what to do.

I'm sorry to hear your in that much pain hun.Mine is mostly constant pain at level 10+....but im willing to put up with bad sideeffects rather than suicidal-like pain.Any way my Neuro has me on 800mg of Tegretol and 1200mg of Neurontin...I'll be honest side effects aren't too bad but I cope,does help ALOT though I only get breakthrough pain now 2-3x aday now an no where as severe.Have you tried Neurontin yet???I have the ATn and TN and also Glossophryngeal Neuralgia also.
