My pain had subsided a little until I had to start wearing glasses at all times. I am only 32 and I hd to get bifocals due to what ever reason. But anyway it just seems that here lately TN has came full force again. I have to take elavil for fibromyalgia anyway and it seems to help the TN a tad. I tried lyrica for tn but Man that stuff just kept me in a "duh" state. I pray everyone is having a pain free day.

I was in a "duh" state with lyrica too. I tried it for fibro before my TN diagnosis. I have been taking trileptal now for 9 days and the side effects are not as severe. Everyone responds to different meds in their own way, but you might mention this med to your doc and see what s/he says. I took elavil for depression years ago and I felt like a zombie all the time and hated it. I was on very high doses before it helped with depression. Prozac has helped me with depression more than ALL the other meds I have tried. Good luck.

MS or the TN messes with my eyes all the time. I lost all vision in my right eye but, within a few months gained some vision with it though I am basically blind in that eye. Thank God some sight came back. It seems some days I strain to see things especially when grocery shopping. I don’t know if my vision problems are from age, TN, or MS. I had to start wearing glasses in my twenties when the MS and TN were 12-15 years from knocking on my door and staying like an unwanted house guest. In my gut I feel like these have created havoc with my vision regardless of the problems with my right eye.
Good topic. I do not see many others with eye problems or asking the question if TN or MS has caused them problems. When first diagnosed, my biggest fear was to go blind. Most have heard those stories of people finding out they had MS due to loosing their sight. What a horrible way to find out....going blind while driving! That is how a friend's sister found out she had MS. She went completely blind while driving down the freeway. That would be a real nightmare.

I too wear bifocals at all times. I do have problems with my eyes anymore. Personally I think it's the tegretol with me. Or, as Mike says, maybe I'm just getting old. YUCK! I don't have time to get old! :)
