Hi! I'm new here and feel so alone so I'm glad I found this page. I was diagnosed earlier this month after 3 weeks of pain and no one knowing what was wrong with me. I finally went into my regular doctor in tears and he knew right what was wrong with me and sent me to a neurologist. I have had an EEG and MRI which ruled out MS. I am pain free for now after Tegretol and Lryica so I'm hoping they both continue to work. Has anyone else here had Tegretol? I like that it helps with the pain but get aggravated because I get so tired and can't even hold my head up. I can hardly make it through my day sometimes and getting home from work and staying awake can be a huge challenge, i'm afraid that I'm going to fall asleep at the wheel. Has anyone else here had Tegretol and does this exhaustion eventually go away? Thanks for your support.

" Hello,
I know how you feel. When I first got it, I did not know what was going on. My doctor knew and told me I had neuralgia. Sent me to a neurologist. I never had a EEG or MRI. They did give my a injection thought my nose and the right hand side of my face drop. Pain was still their. Next time I went back I was going to have my nerves cut but doctor was not around. Funny enough from then on I was clear for 3 years. But its returned and I really hate it.I am now on Tegretol and gabapentin. I also get tired and so moody its unreal. So I know how you feel when it comes about work. I even tired to get dissabillity becauseb i am having a hard time like you. But its a condtion so no help. I must say that when I was only on Tegretol I never had any problem at all, it was great, so I hope it does go away. Tegretol was my life saver in the begining. So good luck "
