Is there anyone out there who had to stop taking the pain meds in order to get pregnant, and how did you deal with the pain?

I just had a beautiful baby boy nine months ago. I had to go off my pain meds, but honestly it was like my body understood and didn't attack me with pain. It didn't start to really get bad until later in my third trimester, and at that point, there were some meds that were considered "safe" to take while pregnant. I was also worried about the baby, since I was on meds when I got pregnant, but he's perfect!! Feel free to add me to your friends and I'll help any way I can!!!

Hi - I am in the same situation. I am going to try to stop my meds to see how I can deal with it prior to trying, and then decide if it is worth it. One thing that I found out is that the birt defect of my drug (cleft palate) only occurs in the first 10 weeks, so I think (?) that I can restart the drugs after that....I would love to hear more from you on this
