" Hi Cami, you're definitely not alone! I have pulled my eyelashes for a long time. After coming to this sight at the beginning of June, I started what we call a "Pull Free A Thon" and I've been able to stop pulling my eyelashes and eyebrows out for about a month and half with the exception of pulling my eyebrows once. I am so happy to report that even with all the years I pulled, they are growing back in. You are a beautiful girl and not having eyelashes, doesn't change that. If you focus on the beautiful person you are, inside and out then you will find a guy who sees you and loves you for you!!! I know that is tough to believe in this world, but I promise you, if you look in the right places and work on being the right person on the inside, you can overcome Trich and find the right guy. I hope you do as soon as possible! "

" hi cami. welcome to the group. i also am an eyelash puller - always the top lashes and rarely the bottom. which is annoying as you'll understand because i think the bottom lashes would be less noticeable.

about having guys notice you... this may not be true for general dating where you want to make a good first impression, but i think that trich can actually help you find the kind of guy that you need. i've only ever had 2 serious boyfriends, but each of them turned out to be really understanding and supportive of me, particularly when i hit a bad patch. it's the same with my friends. if i tell them and instead of being supportive they poke fun, well, i don't stick around for long! i don't think having trich will ever stop anyone from finding the right partner, as long as you have confidence in yourself, eyelashes or not! " I looked on another site and it says that the lash/brow area is the most common site that trichsters pull from the scalp being the 2nd.

I'm a lash/brow puller. I've never had a guy be bothered by my lashes not being there. I was really good with my makeup. (no I didn't use black shadow) I looked just like every other chick in the room. Didn't use fake lashes cause they felt weird and was afraid they would fall off.

Guys usually aren't that caught up in the appearance dept.(eye area) Plus you have to be up close to notice anyhow. "

" Not that I'm encouraging a 13 year old to worry about guys, but generlly speaking, guys have not noticed my trich. I've mostly been missing all my lashes, and would use pencil eye liner inside the lid, and liquid for the outside. My husband teases that somtimes I put on make up like a gangster girl, but it's the only way I feel comfortable, because i know from head on you can't tell. Would keep my hair down, so no one would see my profile. That's hard in the summer! The ones who notice are girls, especially the ones with long eyelashes, ironically. "
