I can't go an entire day without picking or pulling out my hair and somedays it's so bad that i just ignore everything aroung me and just pick or pull at my hair. I need some advice to get through this, i just want to be pull free, i want to stop for one day, i think that would help. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

" If you can't tackle a whole day, go for smaller chunks. Say, ok I will not pull until lunchtime or I will not pull for this class or whatever the case may be. Making it for a small chunk is a huge confidence boost and sometimes it gives me the energy to say Ok, let's do it again! Then you're able to tackle a few more hours. And just remember if you stumble, it's not the end. Dust yourself off and try again. Success is standing up one more time than we fall. "

" I found the more you think about it, the more you pull. I get extremely self-conscious about my eyebrows, so if I'm around people I won't pull in front of them bc of the embarrassment. Try staying around people throughout the day, and when you're alone, try keeping your hands busy by working on your nails or some other activity that requires you to use your hands. "

" Lots of good ideas.....definitely do whatever makes it 'impossible' for you to pull, like being around people, or gloves. I used to wear goggles at night so I couldn't pull my lashes. "

" I'm trying rotating 2 smooth golf balls in my fingers and hands. I can feel my fustrating impulses seem to take the smooth and circular imprints all over the golf balls instead of pulling my hair. This could work..will see. "
