Advice:
Risperdal emergency prescription?

I commented in my journal that my daughter's new neurologist was going to give us a mild dose of Risperdal for her to use as a preventative during my sister's wedding. (She's a flower girl.) I've gotten two responses that cause me to question how wise this move is... As you all know, TS kids' behavior isn't always predictable or convenient. We can't afford her to have a break-down in the middle of the wedding.

So... Here's the question: WHAT SHOULD I DO??? It's not until October. Should I do a test run on the Risperdal? " Update: We were due to increase the dose to twice/day this weekend, but it suddenly started working! Yeah! To be sure it wasn't a result of a natural waning, we stopped the Risperdal this Sat (how funny, instead of increasing it that day). And she starting ticcing again (a lot) on Monday. Question answered! :-) We're gonna if she has a particularly bad waxing period before the wedding, so we can be more certain of dosage.

Thanks to all for your help and advice. It was really appreciated. Onwards to the wedding! "
