How do you know if you are grinding your teeth in your sleep? I always wake up with my left jaw hurting especially when I open my mouth. My left jaw also always pops pretty loudly when I chew on the right side of my mouth...is this something I'm doing in my sleep?? How can I tell?
Oh..I also usually have lines on the inside of my cheeks where my teeth meet...which would mean that I'm biting on my cheek and not realizing it... Not sure what to do. Posted on 01/04/08, 03:01 pm |

I didnt know until I got married and my wife told me. I don't get a sore jaw or anything. She just told me I wake her up with my tooth grinding.

I got really bad head echs and the vins on the side of my temples swelled up went to docter and he side allger ..did go away came back and he felt my jaw area and told me to bite well he felt the movent of my jaw..it hurt alot! then he told me it looks like u grind ur teeth or bite down hard in ur sleep. so i bought a docter mounth guard that fits to ur mounth and he was rite! I notice now when I bite down in my sleep I know I am doing now when I sleep I just cant wake myself up to stop..I am gunna get one form my ds once I have the $$ too

I agree, i think you'd wake up with a sore mouth, sore teeth. That is what happens to me anyway. Headaches too.
