Somedays the ringing is in my left ear- some days its in my right- somedays its in both- somedays it reacts to all noises- some days it reacts to nothing. Today it is in my left ear only, and it sound as if a phone is ringing non stop. I wish I could figure this out. Another thing that peeves me---has anyone heard about a magazine paying jolie and pitt 90 million for pics of those babies!!!! 90 million!!!!! think about the research that could be done on tinnitus with that much mulah!! uggggggggg! I bet IF Brad had Tinnitus is would be no time at all before we had a cure. Just my 2 cents.

Very interesting thought there, Becca. I think you're onto something. Now if it were Pitt, like you said, who was the president of ATA, instead of Shatner, then I'm sure it would get much more coverage and funding. It just makes me sick how much money is being uselessly wasted on crap such as those baby pics. But then again, why do we still have homeless people, etc. in the US? Stupid spending, and not taking care of our own! That's why.

BTW, my ringing does that too. Sometimes it's tolerable in the left, louder in the left, or hissing in both. Not very often is it louder in the right. I think maybe is also has something to do with the frame of mind we're in when we notice it. If I'm stressed I definitely hear it more, as does my jaw/ears/sinus hurt too. But when I'm chill'n it's not all so bad (although I'd still rather NOT have it at all). Best wishes to you!

yeah i just read that research spending is about 3 million a year. The defense budget for 2008 just appropriated 50 million for research because tinnitus cases are increasing 20 percent each year and they predict 1 billion dollars will be spend on soldier care by 2011. Imagine they only get 10 percent disability for tinnitus.
