Arches Tinnitus Formula... Is it whacked?

I'm sure many of you have heard of this. http://www.tinnitusformula.com/def... Personally I'm a little leary of it myself, but I wanted to know if any of you have actually tried it.

I've tried to find non-bias comments regarding their products, but can't seem to find anything other than what they themselves have published. Arches plus another were commented on here, http://www.robbmd.com/content.php?... but still, I'd like to hear if anyone is actually trying it or has tried it. And if so, how long were you on it before you stopped, or before you heard results?

Currently I am on straight Gingko, but not yet for the full recommended 90 days. Supposedly this formula is much better than just Gingko because it contains zinc, magnesium, and other herbal ingredients that are recommended for T.

" The site is slick and extremely informative leading you to believe that they may be onto something. I think it is snake oil myself. Mr. 21st century medicine man taking advantage of people who are desperate. The owner of course has tinnitus which automatically lends credibility for the naive. I have yet to read any testimonials that his stuff works. His business model probably relies on new suckers every minute because the old ones got hip and moved on. "

" I tried gingko and other OTC products during the early days. None made any difference. I'm bemused by the 90 day recommendation because if your tinnitus was going to be reduced by an increase in blood flow to the ear it would happen fairly quickly and not take 90 days. "

" I have to say I had my shopping cart full on the Arches and ready to pay for a 90 day supply. I already bought Gingko locally and thought I would give that a try. "

" I tried STOP RING suppliments about a year ago - yeah right!! They are all the same and out to make a buck or a million. If you ask me.....Do not waste your money on suppliments that claim to stop or cure Tinnitus. On the other hand I take drugs, LOL!! No seriously, see Namenda thread for my latest updates. "

" I agree. As Brad mentioned, it's simply supplements

As Greg mentioned, the 90 day requirement has nothing to with "time needed for effectiveness". The 90 day requirement is a simple commercial ploy to sell you three bottles instead of one.

I'd steer clear of any and all supplements. "

" I have done gingko, magnesium, zinc and vinpocetine now for almost six months. the xanax really relaxed me and made deal with the tinnitus better - that is the benzo route - but my doc started riding me on being an addict every refill - you're addicted, you're addicted - and switched me to gabapentin - after gaining 15 pounds, I backed off the gaba and the weight dropped off. I can't tell if the vitamins are doing anything - I hear the high pitched ring in my head (or both ears) and I so far only the benzo xanax did anything that i noticed - which was made me a little happier and I guess drugged (1 mg a day) - she threatened to take me off it if I didn't do myself - so now I am off it and the tinnitus didn't change, but my neurological response has - but I have looked hard at the Arches formula and after swallowing sooo much gingko for long - I think I might be well to look at the Namenda - but I don't have a good working relationship with a TNT so I don't know who would let me try it - "

" Oh yes, I also take the zinc and the garlic - desperate person that I am - and the B-12 - and I got some of it from a vitamin store claiming it was more original than the processed ones from like Kroger or Wal-Mart. I swallow up to 12 vitamins every morning. So I am a bit leery about the Arches claims - the 3 month thing does seem like a ploy to keep you going. My psychiatrist gave me the xanax and told me from the beginning that was not a permanent solution in her book. I strung her out for six months and this last time I almost couldn't get a refill. I really don't understand the process of Benzo addiction in a way. It lowered my response to tinnitus - and it seemed to take the edge off it. But it didn't take it away. I didn't notice any side effects - like sleepiness or anything - just everyone saying I was a potential drug addict. Now I am nervous wreck. I pray to God alot. "
