Post-Ablation Scans

I just finished my RAI and I had my post ablation uptake scan. When they reviewed the results they found a large amount of the iodine around my bladder and bowel area. I had to go back the next day for more scan to see if it was gone. It wasn't and now I have to go back again on Monday. Now they say it could be just residual and normal uptake that needs to excreted or it could be another abnormality. Is there anyone out there that had this experience? Has anyone had to go back for more than one post ablation scan?

I can not say that I had the same thing happen in order to help you out. I do have a friend who works in nuclear/radiation meds & she warned me not to get scared when I had my Ablation if there were finding in other places. She said that very often when we are born not all of are cells group were they are supose to, for example thyroid cells may not finish grouping & can be found in various parts of the body. Maybe your scan is showing something similar. You will be in my prayers.
