As the summer progresses, more and more opportunities to evaluate how I fit into the economic world. We received our economic stimulus check and decided to put it toward paying on our line of credit. Great idea until the on board computer on my Prius suddenly died! Fixing it was that check plus. As we evaluated our economic situation, I decided to take some money out of one of my retirement savin...1 Recommendation -

An update here to say I have managed to keep pain at bay with all my usual therapies. I notice that when I get stressed or tried, the spams start to ramp up. I am now more aware of that and being to find ways to relax. Progress!
Consumerism just gets easier and easier as money seems to dry up faster than water on a hot pavement! If it isn't going into the gas tank, it is going into to grocerie... -

I want to recommend to anyone trying to avoid using their fingers while using their Mac that typing with your toes is not the best alternative. I tried that for a while, which kept me from straining my neck to look at the screen, but simply switched it to strain my neck staring at the keyboard on the floor.
I got the better alternative almost a week ago. MacSpeech Dictate is fantastic softwa...1 Recommendation -

No...I don't wanna. I so don't want to step on that scale. For the past month, I've been eating WAY too much and I know it. Part of it is loneliness (hubby is away for work), and part is just blah...and part is (i think) sympothy pains for my sis-in-law who's preggers and ready to pop....lol

I guess I should update....although I don't feel like it...for more than one reason. Anywho...here goes.
The OT appt was a joke...other than getting a brace/splint specially made so that it does not contact or agrivate the spot on my wrist that causes extreme numbness in my hand. I GUESS it helps...at least it's not hurting...other than it's really hard to anything without ... -

Ok, so this is my first post. I'm glad to have found this site. I need to know what is going on with my TOS and get it fixed the best possible way.

With the price of gas, food and heating/cooling, I have found my focus on consumerism to be easier! I have a good job and a decent salary. But now, I have little to no disposable income! I can't even imagine how those on fixed or limited incomes are doing. I guess this was a good time to have this focus because it seems it is being forced! -

I saw the Ortho doc on Monday...the whole thing was pretty much a waist of my time. She said that she didn't think it's TOS (cause the one test she did didn't make my pulse slow or stop), but that there's tennis elbow and "something" in my hand. But that still doesn't explain my shoulder pain.
She sent me to see a hand specialist at Occupational Therapy.&n...1 Recommendation1 Comment -

I am learning alot about pain and suffering. I learned alot about physical pain when mine was at its most intense 2 years ago. Now, as I watch my Mother decline from Alzheimer's, I am seeing emotional/mental pain in a new way. Maybe when we have physical pain, we have things we can do ourselves to easy our pain. But I think being a witness to another's (especially someone you love) mental...1 Recommendation

Well, I've made a decision; I'm going to keep going with orchestra and chamber music class this semester and I think it's going to work out. I have tons of updates that lead me to this decision.
