I have throacic outlet syndrome.
I am a music major and have plyed the flute for more than 8 years. I've never really encountered any pain until I began to practice for more than three hours a day in college. The more I tried to perfect myself as a musician, the more pain i expierienced. I've taken physical therapy for more than a month and am not sure where to go next. Im doing all the excercises regiously and am taking good care of my health...but would like to know if anyone has anymore advice as to either, temporarily subside the pain, or to completely cured. i would love to hear from anyone. My dream is to become an accomplished professional flute player, to go to some of the best music schools in the world, and to travel all around sharing music. Posted on 02/18/07, 01:02 pm |

I don't know if you have had any success, but I can recommend Dr. Harry Orenstein, Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. He works on people all around the world and helped me tremendously. The other option is Neuromuscular Massage Therapy which has been AWESOME, I am on less meds and in much less pain since I began this in Aug 07
