Wellbutrin Leading to Anxiety?

I'm on Wellbutrin for depression, and it has given me the energy to follow through my day, stay in control and function as a human being again. It's great! Sometimes however, I take on too much and try to do too much. The aspect that really scares me is that sometimes I get a racing heartbeat when I'm just resting. I'll think of something and get really worked up about it and get worried that I'm getting myself worked up about it and am afraid of having a heart attack (which is stupid, yet i have occasional pains in my chest). I calm myself down by breathing deeply, but they seem to be getting worse. Right now, I'm lowering my dosage significantly, and even though I have less energy, am more depressed, moody and feel like I'm crazy (now that I've experienced what I think is "normal"), I basically no anxiety. I'm just looking for some thoughts or advice on the matter or related matters.
P.S. Telling me to talk to my therapist or psychiatrist is NOT positive advice. I am already aware of this option and it is not what I am looking for help with. Posted on 04/28/08, 02:04 am |

I took wellbutrin once and it made my anxiety worse. You should check with your doctor about trying a different medication.
