I am cautiously hopeful that this could be the beginning of accomplishing Nicholas's Legacy....

Hi Kathy,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your son Nicholas. I also am sorry that your pain has been intensified by the lack of support you have received from Tomorrow's Child/Michigan SIDS. This is certainly not our intention. We are always working to improve our programs and I realize we have much work to do. There is no right or wrong way to feel after the death of a baby. We never want to tell anyone how to feel, but just share thoughts, suggestions and feelings from other parents that have experienced an infant loss. Our hope is that the poems and sharing may be beneficial. I'm sorry that it has not. Your feedback is extremely important to me. I want our support to be helpful and available. We are currently in the process of reviewing our grief binder. I would appreciate any feedback regarding these materials from you and the other parents you have spoken with. How can they be changed to be more helpful? I've noted from your e-mail: What else.
More available support groups
Available local contact numbers
Different grief information
Would you like me to discontinue the remaining mailings for your grief binder? I'd like to try and take some action regarding your feedback. Please have the other families contact me regarding their frustrations as well. It is obvious that we need to make improvements and we would apprecitate any suggestions and guidance to do so. Hope to hear from you soon in an effort to move forward with improving our services. Again, I'm so sorry about the death of your son Nicholas. I believe there is no greater pain.

So guys also she included another email and the 1200 number sis include all infant deaths in Michigan which still really seems inflated. I am going to be putting together a survey for the MI mommies and one for everyone because I do know a few of you have had wonderful support from your local organizations. I really could use alot of input on this. In the next few days I am going to be kind of busy, but by mid week I want to have the survey out to you. I would appreciate as much help as you are able to provide! I LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!! HUGS!!!!!!!
