Joe's crabshack is hosting a fundraiser with First Candle on July 30th. This is a national event, and all Joe's are participating. First Candle is setting up a memorial fund in my son Daegan's name. I hope we can make this a huge event. Just send me your e-mail address and I'll send you a flier. Just print it out, eat at Joes, and a percentage will go to first candle in Daegan's name. Flyers can be accessed by contacting Layla in addition to going under the Nicholas Michael Slack group page here in the SIDS group and going under photos and printing the flyer from there. I got this e-mail from Heather at First candle and just wanted anyone who's interested, but can't make the event you can donate this way too. Thanks for everyones help.
If people want to make just straight donations to FC, they can visit https://www.z2systems.com/np/clien... and make their donation securely. There is a "in memory" field where they can reference Daegan's name as well as who they would like the acknowledgment sent to. Each and every person who donates will receive a thank you letter which also serves as their tax receipt. Also, as long as the donor lets us know who to send it to, we send an acknowledgment of the donation (either to you and Karen or Daegan's mom and dad). Or, they can call me and I can take their info over the phone, or they can mail in their contribution to the address below my signature. Does that answer your questions?? I sent the flier off to our communications folks, so hopefully the first e-blast will go out today or Monday! Heather C.
