Oh my gosh... I am dying here.... I made the first mistake and that was having a glass of wine... now I want a smoke soooooooo badly, I would sell my mother for it. I've been soooooo good and I'm dying here... Fortunately, I have no way to get to the store but I am tearing apart every suitcase in the slight chance that there might be a smoke left in a pocket somewhere... pathetic I know... Talk about a drug addict.... And the worst part is one of my best friends is coming over in about 30 minutes who smokes and she will have them... And I won't be able to resist... god.... i feel like such a failure... why why why!!??? I can turn my head to every drug, drink etc but nicotine has me by the throat.... Just when I think I have it beat, it screws me... I was just in Bermuda and you can't smoke inside anywhere - well guess what, most of the bars are outside... however at $8 a pack, I smoked one pack the entire week. That's pretty damn good if you ask me...

OOOO I need to be somewhere where smoking in prohibited... It hurts... I ache... is this wrong????? Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

" I know how hard it is but here's the thing- if you really want to be a non-smoker you can never have 'just one'. Trust me- I've quit for long periods of time in the past and thought I could have just one. The nicotene will suck you back down, and right away. So you either want to go back to being a smoker or you don't. If you don't then don't light one.... don't mean to sound harsh but that is the reality.... Good luck.... "

" It is as hard as you want it to be. I wish I could help you, but this is one of those "one fanny jobs", like having a baby. It is up to you. Keep the commitment you made to quit! "

" I'm not clear on where you are in your quit. It sounds like you just got home from somewhere and have decided not to smoke anymore. That may work for some people. But your chances of quitting successfully will increase a lot if you approach quitting like a project that needs to be managed. Get ready for your quit by reading up on quitting here, at www.whyquit.com, and at www.wholisticquit.com. Read through all of the old posts here. Educate yourself about nicotine addiction. Then come up with a quit plan that you think will be likely to work for you. Figure out what you will need to quit successfully, and line up all of your supplies and distractions in advance. Figure out what your triggers are and what you will to do combat them. Set a date - pick one that will maximize your chances of success. When your quit date arrives, throw out all of your cigarettes and smoking stuff. Clean out the ashtrays, get rid of the butts. Get anything smoking related out of your car. Avoid people, places, and things that you associate with smoking. Don't drink. Find some healthy substitutes for not smoking and plug those into your life. Quitting is not easy and it is not fun, but it is doable. It helps if you have a plan and follow it. "

" Boy, alcohol is a big test. Would make me want to smoke too. Thing is, we will always be surrounded by smoking. It is up to US to stay strong. We can't hide from it forever.

You can do this if you really want it! "
