fight with the hubby and kids in trouble on the bus. I almost had myself talked into running out for a pack of smokes...I even got all dressed. Then I" started thinking of after that cig and how I would feel. Not good. It would be a big fat let down, and a chance for the hubby to say "told ya." Hate to give him any ammunition to add to a fight. Sitting here with my cheese and crackers till I have to head out for work.

" You sound very familiar! LOL! You are doing great! If day 2 didnt suck, then something would be wrong with you. Its ok, and it will pass. It will feel rough at times, but the moments get fewer, and they last for shorter periods of time. Read lots of posts on here. As many as you can. And drink alot of water. More than you can imagine yourself drinking. Make sure you scream when you feel like screaming! LOL! Trust me... holding it in makes you feel worse. So you can do this, and we will be here for you! Best of Luck Zaizoo...

" Be sure you reward yourself for not smoking. It doesn't have to be anything complicated or expensive - just something nice for you. Rewards help take the edge off and make the quit feel less like punishment and more like something good. Hang in there, you are doing great. "

" It does get easier--give it some time. For me it was the first month that SUCKED, and sometimes I had to white knuckle it. Good for you for reaching out, that should help!

God bless you! "

" Hey there zaizoo!!! Congrats on your quit so far!! You are going to hear this alot... but you are on one heck of a roller coaster ride. The first week CAN be horrible... I say CAN because it's not always bad. Matter of fact I had a harder time ending week 2 and beginning week 3. (not sure why just did) Up until then I thought it was pretty easy.

U did a great job overcoming the urge to run out and buy those smokes. U don't need those stinky things anyway!!!

Next time the urge strikes... and you are afraid you'll go mad wanting a smoke... pop on here and post. Wait for 5 responses. Then make your decision. It helps knowing that you have cyber friends who totally understand what you are experiencing. Stay strong buddy!! "
