My wife Alisabeth and I are going to have a baby!
She's just beginning the 14th week of her pregnancy.

Somehow, I keep forgetting to stop and weigh myself. how convenient. The gym is a bit ridiculous right now. They have 3 parking lots--all packed. There's a line to get on a treadmill. Ah well, as the new year's resolutions fade from memory, the people will fade from the gym.

I managed to go UP in weight. Although I think it's somewhat normal to fluctuate within a couple of pounds depending on how much food and water in body, etc.
On the positive side, my last couple of gym workouts have been intense enough to require 2 full days of recovery, and I'm gettting a bit stronger. Upping my weights lifted by about 5 pounds a week. Does that sound about right?

Should I fess up to an absolute absence of dieting, and a mere modicum of excercise thus far? But I wouldn't write unarmed with an excuse: Mexico.
Yes, it's all Mexico's fault. Or to narrow it down, certain restaurants and cafes in Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. Frijoles, arroz, aguacate, salsa, pescado, cerveza--the usual tasty suspects.
