" Hi. Yes I have waken up to drool but it is running down my chin. Does your sleep mask cover your mouth? Mine covers my nose only with a support across my forehead. I guess I drool when my nose gets stuffy-humidifier or not. I have had the experience of feeling like I'm drowning but then realize that I added too much water (there is a water line that is hard for me to see sometimes). That is rough because I cannot swim! " The following is the cause of my instrest and the reason I went to the doc.

I was comotose alone in my aparment.
I woke up with breathing dificulty of a level 9.
After I was able to breath freely, I discovered the following.
Thick, heavy and LARGE amount of saliva on my right face, chin, neck, shoulder, pillow through to the sheets and into the mattress.

This got my attention. LOL "

" I tend to drool too and I've been having problems sleeping on my sides, which makes it too tempting to try sleep on my stomach and then I knock my full face mask out of place.

I've been having to teach myself to stay on my back, I use a body pillow. I lay it on top of me length-wise and tuck one end between my knees. Then when I try to roll of my back to my side the pillow prevents me from going further. Doesn't always stay in place, but it's helping.

And if I can stay on my back, I tend to NOT drool everywhere! Added bonus!!! "

" Hello everyone! I have never had this problem. I have however had an issue with opening my mouth while wearing a "Nose Only" mask. What I did may help you also. I bought a chip strap. It is very comfortable and works with your head gear. There are always one available on ebay if your insurance doesn't cover it. "

" I used to drool more frequently than I do now. My problem was more of me being a mouth breather because of seasonal allergies. My allergeis were so bad that the insides of my nose would swell to the point where I would only have a very narrow passage for air. I got a nasal spray decongestant and I use those "Breath Right" nasal strips. I use the strips almost every night. If I need more, that's when I use the nasal spray. Since I began using those, I've noticed I drool rarely now. (I always sleep on my side, which I'm sure contributes to my drooling.) "

" I noticed that is the past week I have been drooling. I have a mask that only covers my nose and I also wear a chin strap also I have a humidifer that is not attched to the machine. I think the drooling might be caused by your mouth opening. I know before I got the chin strap I was opening my mouth and I know this because I was waking up choking. I hope this will help you. "
