" I'm still loosing my hair after a year and a half on Plaquenil.
Has your Dr. talked to you about Flax seed oil? I take 1000 mg. 3 times a day. Or you could take 10 fish oil caps. a day. My Dr. says they both work with inflamation. And this may also help with hair loss. It's worth a try.Sad to say I had a full thick head of hair. Now it's about half the volume as before the Plaquenil.
Good luck. "

" Hi, I forgot to mention in my last response; I take Vitamin D or D3. I am doing this with the idea that hair, nails and bones are all related. So I use Vit. D, Calcium, mag, gelatin for hair and nails. Then for skin and secretions such as saliva and all other orifices; I am using Omega 3's, Lecithin, Vit E, Niacin, Flaxeed, Cranberry, Evening Primrose.

On my skin I use Amlactin, Ca Rezz and Urea 40%.

I was given a rx for something that starts with a P. I haven't tried it. It's supposed to help with my mouth and eyes.

I use Biotine products for my mouth. This really helps me a lot.

The nerves in my teeth are dying so I've had 14 root canals and 8 oral surgeries during this year. Almost all of my teeth will be capped because my teeth are breaking. I assume it is due to the dryness.

I hope this helps you.

Big smile to you. "

" Woops. I forgot to mention that although my head hair is doing okay now; I am loosing body hair. I don't mind the body hair loss. Almost all of my arm pit hair is gone. I lost a lot more in the last week or 2. That's fine, less shaving. LOL

I don't mind being body hairless. I just want to keep my head hair.

Smile and hugs. "

" I didn't realize that Sjogren's was a direct cause of hair falling out; I thought it was one of my peripheral diseases. It seemed like my body hair was thinning for a while. I'm really disappointed that it's stopped, but the hair on my head is still going fast. I'm molting! My sister also has lots of nasty autoimmune conditions, and at one point her gorgeous hair fell out almost completely. She was in a frightening physical state. However, when she came out of it, her hair suddenly grew back more gorgeous and lush and curly since it had been since she was a small child. I keep wishing my hair would fall out faster so it'll grow back hotter! "
