All my life, I've always been extremely shy and get embarrased very easily. I use to get red with sweaty palms, you name it, I had it.
I hated school and caould not make new friends.

People can sense your shyness mile away, and will have hard time approaching you. Maybe it's not others, and just might be "you" sending distant signals.

Some past experiences may lead to shyness, but I believe it's about "rejection" and "self -esteem".

My parent put me in dancing, piano and even beauty contest, but never helped me because I was never comfortable with myself. I never accepted myself, so I was always afraid of what others might see me as.

After my children, I was no longer shy.
I started meeting other "Mothers" and sharring baby stories, that made me feel more at ease conversing with others. But mostly, I was proud of myself .
I was validating and loving myself more, which I've gained self confident.

Also, reading positive and motivational books. Getting out practicing engaging with new people.
It's about "challenge to "change". It's hard, but once you reach there, then it's highly rewarding and easy to enjy LIFE!

Thank you and God Bless.

" Hi, thanks for sharing how you gained confidence. I don't have a job at the moment, but I'm looking for one. Not having a job is not doing my self confidence any good, and I need to be confident in interviews! Vicious circle. When I get a job I'm sure I'll feel more confident lol!
I'm sure if I just keep applying for jobs and staying foccused it'll eventually work out, and my reward will be a more confident me! That thought should really spur me on :)
Thanks "

" It really is about the challenge. It's so easy to simply withdraw (especially since I also have depression), and hard to break the shell...its ultimately about the effort you put in...as with everything. "
