If you wrote a book on shyness, what would you like other people to know about your shyness?
Part of my shyness comes from never having had a place in this world where I have felt safe from abuse, antagonism, bullying, and other forms of mistreatment. I wonder what it would be like to feel safe to take small risks, such as saying hello to strangers. I wonder what it would be like to feel welcome, accepted, to belong. Will I ever be good enough? We can never have complete safety in life, but I wonder what it would be like to feel a little safe for a short period of time. Can anyone tell me? This discussion posting really isn't about me, though. It's an open invitation to you. Pretend for a moment that you are writing a book about your shyness. What would you like other people to know? If I wrote a book about shyness.....
It would not be just about shyness but aceptance as well. You see my shyness mostly comes from the fact that I have a birth dafect that makes me different. It also comesfrom the fact I have several learning disabilities. I want people to understnad first the chair is not me ( of me but not the whole me) sand the learning disabilities are part of me too but not me either. I would also interview other shy people and write there stories
