just when I think I got it down...I actually changed jobs to get away from the shopping mall where I used to work. I now work where there is not a store for miles. Unfortunately, I have learned the double reward of online shopping..the excitement of buying AND getting packages...anyone else?

" I have had the shopping problem all of my life, because my mom had it and all we ever did together was shop. Nevertheless, I continue to struggle with it, and fortunately, I'm not in debt because of it.

When I look in my closet and it becomes time for the six month clean-out, I am ashamed at all the bags of clothing I have accumulated and don't wear. The bags get donated to a friend who sends them to the Domincan Republic, but I am embarassed.

The other thing I buy is jewelry, and lots of it, all at great prices, although that is changing. Its all vintage costume, and I started selling it on E-Bay a few years ago, then I got ripped off. I will be selling it to a dealer one of these days.

Keep struggling -- shopping makes us feel better temporarily. When I look at clothing these days I try to think if I will really wear it or if I'm trying to defy my age (54) by fitting into trendy clothes for younger women. "

" EBay was the worst thing for me a couple of years back. I've cut back to buying the occasional book or two. "
