I have been dealing with this for the last month or so! I know I should not be missing home at all and should be so happy to be out of that bad situation, but I really just miss the little things I would have back home. I miss my cats, I miss the smell of the air, I feel so alone and isolated out here even though I am always around people.

" Yeah, it is called homesickness. It is normal. A month is nothing really - it takes a while to change the body's expectations of what it thinks should be.

Can you think of it as a physcial thing rather than an emotional thing. The body wakes trained to expect a smell, a mew of a cat - all that says "safe" and you have to reprogramme the physical self to expect a different message to also say "safe". "
