I just got a message from one of my friends here. They told me that if you google your screen-name, you will get all of your info. This includes hugs messages etc.you can check this out yourself. If this is true, than we need to let the people that run this website know that we feel that this is a violation of our privacy!!! Please pass this information on to your other friends. Damn. On one hand, you kinds need to expect that what you put online is at least somewhat public.
BUT, this site does have medical info on a lot of people. I wonder if they realize that they could conceivably be bound to applicable laws on privacy of medical info?

It has come to some members attention that while this site encourages privacy, this is not so. All a person needs to do is google someone's username/screenname or real name (if known) and all your information (such as your profile page) is asscessable. This has many members upset as they see this a breach of privacy and confindentality. Is there anyway around this, so to protect the community and insure a safe and secure place where we can seek advice and support about a large volume of personal and sometimes medical related information? Hopefully we will get some feedback...I'll keep you posted via here
