Do you think you could fool doctors into dx you schizophrenic? My mom thinks I have fooled three pdocs into thinking that I'm schizoaffective. Do you think you could fake it to three different pdocs?

Possibly but it is unlikely. What do you thingk? How do you feel about it. Most families just don't want to admit it.

I don't think I could've fooled all three of them. All I know is that I'm not faking my symptoms and my mom doesn't understand that. I don't think she even wants to try to understand.

I'm sure some people have faked it before, but if they have, why push their luck by getting more opinions?
As long as you didn't go out and do something stupid, get caught and all of the sudden say I HAVE A MENTAL ILLNESS ...that no one ever knew about before this...

i couldnt have faked it. it took me years before i even told anybody about the voices in my head or the things that i see that arent there. i was embarrased and didnt want anybody to think i was really crazy (im bipolar too). if i wanted attention i would have told them from the beginning instead of letting it eat away at me for so many years. i dont know why anybody would want to fake that!

maybe I dont really get it, but I personally would rather try and fake NOT having it, I dont understand why anyone would fake having it, but maybe thats just me, maybe you guys could enlighten me as to why anyone would want to be diagnosed with shchiz.
I mean, I have it, I dont hate it, i dont love it, i just accept that it is there, but I would like to know why someone would WANT it.
