How many of you have an itchy scalp? I have psoriasis changing the category of my RA to Psoriatc Arthritis. This is why I am on enbrel. However, my head still itches and I still get little ribbons of itchy on my body. Mostly on my face and arms. YUCK. I know there are some places that are "dry" and I have an estrogen cream for those places. I have a prescription steroid cream too. I cannot seem to find a scent free hand/body lotion that will soften me up. I started taking biotin, but I am one to default on pills. I hate taking pills. I take 5 a night as it is....I do use head and shoulders on my head, but it only soothes a little. Lately, I have been skipping the morning showers every other day. I think I might be washing away too much oil. So, I try to skip if i am not stinky.. ( I have horses remember? ) So, i was just wondering what you have found to help?

" Have you considered using salts or shampoo from the Dead Sea? The Dead Sea area in Israel is renowned for its positive benefits for RA. In fact, many countries in Europe (Germany, the UK, and others) pay for people with Psoriasis to go to Israel and spend some time in one of the resort hotels around the Dead Sea. The effect is supposed to be miraculous. If you can't actually go there, perhaps just trying the products from the Dead Sea might work. And, yes, this one is based on personal experience too. My mother had Psoriasis, treated herself for years with salts and other products from the Dead Sea and now, in her late seventies, she is completely cured of the disease. Good luck. Me "

" I don't have psoriasis but my head does get itchy from time to time not sure why but it drives me crazy. I use something called Scalpex if it gets too bothersome. I think that's what it's called...It comes in a squirt bottle.
Lately I've been getting itchy hives on my face here and there too. "

" I get the itchies at night. Sometimes they have been so bad that I have given myself welts. At first I wondered if it was a result of my medications but was not. SO at night before bed I take 2 benydrl ( generic) and I find it pretty much halts my itching problem. My GP told me this was okay to do. Just a suggestion. BTW there is a brand called Philosophy. They make all sorts of mositurizing cremes that are allergin free. "

" I get the itchies all over me, mostly my legs but sometimes my scalp. I will also scratch my legs until I have welts. When my legs are bad, I use benadryl cream on them. Seems to work pretty well. My skin also is very dry all over, so I use a product called "Naked Body Butter" (unscented, of course). Works great! You can get it at Sephora. "
