It's done! I've completed "polish kitchen", and am waiting for the copies to come to my house. Not only am i thrilled with the finished product, but I am feeling mighty satisfied that I did not let the length of time it took to complete deter me. Thank you all for your encouragement!

Because of the communities I over see, Mother's Day is always a day when I think of all the women who dread today. For a few years there, this day was so painful for me, and it was hard for me to call my own mom and wish her a happy day. thank you everyone: the hugs and comments made me smile.
yes, it is amazing how much I use and depend on this thin metal box to help me be creative, communicate, work, and stay organized. the data recovery process is grueling, because when the software scours your hard drive and pulls documents off, it renames them with numbers (as in 1.doc, 2.doc, 3.doc etc), so all your file names are gone...

I seriously don't remember the last time I had to go to the doctor for something that wasn't pregnancy related. After being sick all this past week, I finally caved in a went to the doc this morning...sinus infection and bronchitis. Rhabdomyolysis Information

Rhabdomyolysis is the breakdown of skeletal muscle due to injury, either mechanical, physical or chemical. The principal result of this process is acute renal failure due to accumulation of muscle breakdown products in the bloodstream, several of which are injurous to the kidney. Treatment is with intravenous fluids, and dialysis if necessary.

The main therapeutic measure is hyperhydration (by administering intravenous fluids), and if necessary the use of diuretics (to prevent fluid overload). Alkalinisation of the urine with bicarbonate reduces the amount of myoglobin accumulating in the kidney.

As the electrolytes are frequently deranged, these may require correction, especially hyperkalemia (elevated potassium levels in the blood). Calcium levels are initially low (hypocalcemia), as circulating calcium precipitates in the damaged muscle tissue, presumably with phosphate released from intracellular stores. When the acute renal failure resolves, vitamin D levels rise rapidly, causing hypercalcemia (elevated calcium). Although this resolves eventually, high calcium levels may require treatment with bisphosphonates (e.g. pamidronate).
