Hello eveyrone. Im new here and was given this website from a friend. I hope I can find support and insight to my RSD diagnosis and also a better understanding of what it is. I feel alone in my struggles right now. Just like my fibromyalgia, RSD is not very known adn its just as frustrating.

Hi Diane, I'm TIna and also new here. RSD can be SO very frustrating. I've dealt with it (and swore at and about it LOL) since '93.
The SO and critters help keep my mind busy with the good things and always seem to know when I need that extra bit of TLC. I'm currently looking for a good doc in this area (wa state-Whidbey Island).

thanks for your responses. Im suppose to go for my first nerve block this friday. Im not sure if I am doing the right thing but oh well...I give up trying to figure out what Doc is right and what one is wrong. So far, I have had alot in my life that have been "wrong" in alot of ways with my health. *sighhhh

My RSD is in my left foot/snkle but Im starting to feel symptoms in my calf as well as burning in my inner thigh which Im not sure if thats part of the RSD. All I know is that it really burns at times like my foot. YES RSD is very frustrating to me too. I havent had a "normal" life since I injured my ankle almost 1 year ago this month 7/29/2007...after misdiagnosis of my injury several time and then finally surgery now I have RSD. Seems hopeless and never ending. The worst is that people dont understand it and they look at you "odd" when you try to explain it. I also have fibromyalgia...same resonse I get for that too so I usually suffer in silence. (my sisyer says fibro is nothing ut a depressed persons disease....in actuality, like RSD, with fibro the constant daily pain is what makes you depressed NOT the other way around). Anyway, thanks for responding to my post. HUGS to you. Nice to meet you. Im so sorry you too suffer with the RSD. Im newly diagnosed. My ortho thinks it started after the surgery, the Pain Management Doc said noway it started way before the surgery. Who knows ...I dont know who the heck to believe.
