Today I went to the police and reported my dad for the attack on Monday and over the years. i told them everything all the times he raped and abused me and all the times he hit me.
It was so hard and now I am thinking have I done the right thing? Am I to blame for what he did to me? My mam said she would never forgive me for waht I have done to the family. you did the right thing, the right thing to protect yourself and that's all that matters. You will feel alot of things and ask alot of questions of yourself - this is normal but know you did the right thing even when it feels to hard or wrong. Hope you are also thinking of or are in therapy cause it helps and it will help you deal with the range of emotions you may feel over the coming stages of the reporting
