" I find it very hard to believe that there isn't a complete cure for psoriasis. I'm thinking that if this is "toxicen" in the blood, why are these doctors not offering IV's to flush this out of our systems! Blood transfusion, anything. I just find it hard to believe that you can never get rid of psoriasis completely out of you blood system. There just has to be a better way then creams and ointenments. This is just ridiculous! An the price is cost to just go to a America doctor, crazy! Maybe that is why they won't give you the IV in CA. It's not expensive as if you kept making trips to the doctors. Food for thought!
Greeneyes - I hope you do find a doctor in CA best of luck! "

" That's great Greeneyez!! I feel like we have a similar story. I have had it since bout 7 yrs old, and no one diagnosed me until I was about 15. Creams, ointments, nothing worked. Then I got decent health care, and voila, they put me on Enbryl. That worked amazing for me. After about 3-4 weeks I was clear, except for very small patch on my elbows. I am now off Enbryl, and using combination of Dovanex and Clobetasol Ointment. I use it once a day after my shower, and I have a few small spots, but I am comfortable in a tank top and capris. (I don't wear shorts anyways). Well, maybe you can try Enbryl. It, like Rumicade, is a Systemic drug that can be used to treat other diseases as well. It's the same general catagory. It's an injection you give yourself at home once a week. Just a thought if you want to look into it. Good Luck! "

" Be careful with that Remicaid. I was on it about 5 years ago and like you it worked great i was cleared up without a trace for the whole summer. But because it was through a research program they only give you a certain amount of shots and then you cant have it again utill you are 50% worse than your best day. So i had to wait till half of it came back. Then they gave me the remicaid and my body rejected it i went into an allergic reaction and they had to pull the iv. My body had developed antibodies to the drug from not having inbetween that gap. Now 5 years later my doctor want to try it again. He almost killed me in his office. If they did not have the proper medical treatment their i would not be here today. So bottom line is make sure you do not wait too long in between treatments if you are going to continue this drug. My new doctor wont even recommend this drug because he has seen too many patients almost die from it. Since this happened i was on enbrel which worked good but than stopped working and now im on Humira for the last 4 weeks. Just make sure you discuss this when you find your new doctor. "
