3rd trip to the doctors this week...

Well, my week of hell just gets better and better.

Not a wink of sleep to be had last night, so bad was the itching. I got up at 3 in the morning to take a freezing cold shower. It was the only thing I could think of doing to relieve the nightmare. It was not nice.

I went to the doctor again for the third time in five days. This time they think it is guttate psoriasis. I have been given penicillin and some different anti-hestimines and told to hold off on the steroid cream that I was prescribed yesterday.

I've got a hospital appointment booked in for tomorrow as the doctor kindly rang the on-call derm and begged for me. I pary that they will give me something to ease the itching. Anything.

There must be some way to stop the itching. Some way to numb it.

It is bed time now and I don't want to even bother going to bed if I'm just going to lie there suffering. What is the point?

The doctor was quite happy to sign me off work for a week, but I declined as I'm worried about work. I'm going back on Monday but really don't know how I will cope unless my skin calms down.

I've never had it this bad with the psoriasis before. I'm told I'm not bad enough yet to be hospitalised. But I dread the fact that it is looking more likely that I'm going to end u on systemic treatments - which will make me fearful of having kids in the future.

A six month waiting list for photo therapy... please god just get me on the list.
