I've had chronic prostatitis for 16 years now. Its been a struggle to even get thru some of my "episodes" but i'm still here fighting the good fight. I've been thinking about alternative therapies, possibly even going to china to see how they do direct injection into the prostate.
Does anyone out there have any advise on this? Anyone been thru the experiences i've been thru??

Looking for some help

" my husband has been going through episodes of prostatitis for about 8 months now. some days are very painful for him. it's very frustrating and there does not seem to be any doctors that know what to do. He was on antibiotics for about 6 months and they did nothing he was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer (no relation to the pain) he would like to treat with bracchytherapy radiation since he is very early stage but worries that this would make the pain he has already even worse! sometimes we feel like the pain he has is associated with stress, other times we feel it could be an injury of some sort. I't so frustrating! he tends to be more frustrated with the horrible pain than the cancer diagnosis! I'm sorry that you have had to go through this for 16 years! Have you had any luck taking some kind of pain meds? Jeff was given celebrex and that doesn't seem to do much! an anti anxiety drug that he takes seems to help a bit... "
