I think everyone who has ever watched a TV has heard the opening words of the popular day time soap opera ."Like sands through the hour glass so are the days of out lives". It is race week around here. The Talladega International Speedway is gearing up for the big race this weekend. Thousands of race fans have made out little town busy. All the restraunts are packed and the Oxford Walmart can't keep up with the onslaught of fans scrambling to purchase beer and grilling supplies before Sunday. Recovering from yet another surgery...as I get older it gets a little harder to recover. At least the dogs miss me when I am in the hospital. They won't leave me alone for days and days. I discovered that they system deleted 6, I think, friends. I had to go way back in my hugs to find three of them. I'm still missing three, maybe two, don't really remember. Mother seems to be stuck in a pattern of "stinkin thinkin". She wants to talk about her funeral every time we talk. She has such bitter feelings towards my Grandmother (her mother-in-law). She wants to have a private funeral and does not want my Grandmother to be there. My Dad told her to suck it up and deal with it because his mother was going to be there.

Wow what a big bump in my road. We planned to go see Fireproof last night . Jeff and I have not had any time to ourselves in a few weeks now. One hour before the movie started mother called to say she was throwing up. She was in a wild panic! She needed me to call the Doctor for her. I ask my usual questions... Do you have a fever?... Mother loves Fall and Christmas. I plan to go over her house Saturday and display her Dickens village. She has not put it up for the past two years because she has been in the hospital or sick around Christmas. This year Christmas comes early! Why is it that Magic always have sad songs on? Spent a perfectly nice lunchtime eating a four course meal and then we had to go and see a friend at work. So, in we went. Today we took Mother to The Kirkland Clinic for her second infusion of toresil. She is tolerating it so far. Her appetite has increased. The Doc told us her shortness of breath is because of the cancer not the meds.The Doctor gave her stonger pain meds and a prescription for home care three days a week. Isabella called us last night. The Hospice nurse told her the death process has started and she needed to inform the family. Tommy is not getting out of bed, has a fever, not eating, having a hard time taking meds.
