Research/Literature on adult psychological health.

Hello,

I am wondering if anybody knows if there is any available research regarding the psychological health of prematurely born adults - ranging in scope from the onset of puberty to adulthood and onwards to whatever is feasible when considering the medical constraints any given period wherein the subject might have been born?

I would prefer articles to research summaries and the former to research papers, but as I have access to the major medical databases through university the latter is not strictly a problem in any other way than in my layman's understanding of medical terminology.

I struggle to find anything other than purely neuropsychological research, which is well and good in it's own right, but tales of atrophied corpus collossum's, lesions and ventricular enlargement are largely irrelevant considering the angle of perspective: the nature and development of potential psychological disorders persisting through adulthood.

The anecdotal evidence that is one's own pathology is more than welcome, as it is the only way we can gain insight into the particular universalities that escapes the scientific methodology of mass research, but I would ask that people try to make a sober assessment rather than treating it as an opportunity to bundle disparate symptoms into a primordial "point-where-it-all-went-wrong".

I myself was born in the 28th week of pregnancy, and am subject to a wide array of low-level psychological... nuisances, and I would like to confirm or dismiss (within the range of statistical probability) the role my premature birth plays in all this.

Kind regards,
Peter Johan.
