" mmm like the above says it doesn't matter which brand you use. All that matters is if it gets the job done. I was once told that your baby can sleep in a draw as long as they are safe.

Now as I said before what you should be doing to get prepared is making sure you have enough money, saving for unexpected costs and buy a dryer. Having a dryer will save you so much time and if you live somewhere wet like me will make sure you can acually do your washing.

Now your baby doesn't actually NEED lotions and soap and such but you can buy it if you want.As for car seats they mostly all conform to safety standards so get which ever you prefer.

As for nappies, unless your baby NEEDS a better brand just use the cheap ones, they do their job and cost a lot less. just think about putting the baby in more expensive ones at night.

Strollers buy a cheap one that lays right down. you save money and it's safe from newborn up as well as the fect it is easier to store and move around.

Bath tub, do not even bother. they out grow them so quick it's not even worth the money. the kitchen sink or the your bath tub will do fine.

Humidifers, whichever they all wokr fine. And bottles is whatever you can afford.

The only thing you should spend a lot of money on is a good breast pump. "

" Right as for food when they get older you can start low as they only eat so much but by two they eat 5/6 times a day so it does start to cost money. As wll as schooling later. Most of us didn't have a chance to prepare, you do I sujest you put away as much money as you can for emergancies. Its always good to have money spare for medicine and such. "

" The best thing I ever got was a sling! You can find them anywhere, the kind i like is the one that wraps around and hold the baby secure to you. I know it made my little one feel safe and I like that she was close to my heart. "

" Its more of what you can afford after a while all this stuff adds up. You end up having to buy bout 3 different car seats cause your baby grows quickly.
For some babys bottles with a certain kind of nipple is better for them depending on the baby.
But other than that any brands would work. "

" Bottles- Playtex drop ins and Dr. Browns for the first couple months, then if they weren't colicky or gassy, I just used any normal bottle.

Wipes, I always use Huggies natural fresh in the green box. They smell great and are for sensitive bottoms. You always want to start off with No dye No fragrance wipes until you know if your little one is allergic to any of it. Same with Washing detergent. ALL has a brand with no dyes or perfumes and works fine, you dont have to buy the expensive Dreft. Even though it works great it's too high.

Diapers- We use Luvs and they are not so expensive and work JUST FINE. Sometimes if pampers or huggies are on sale, we get them. We do not use cheap diapers though like store brand because some reason they break my children out.

Lotions- Bath Soaps- Etc. Johnson and Johnson. Huggies also has a few nice brands too. Remember about dyes and perfumes though, at first.

Carseats- We used Graco and Evenflo.

Stroller- We got a combo with a carseat for #1 it was Graco. The second we just got an Evenflo carseat and a Graco front facing car seat and have a double stroller made by some K-mart brand and it is the best thing EVER made.

Humidifiers- We have a baby Vicks one. COOL mist. Because my son has asthma.

Bathtubs- Just about any of them work just fine. "

" Also, get a CRADLE or ROTATING SWING. Or a baby bouncer seat with a vibrator. My children loved it and they soothed them to sleep until about 8-9 months of age, when they got too big to sit in them. I also fed both of my kids in their bouncy seats with their first cereal and solids. I got a Fisherprice Aquariam swing, it can swing front wards or cradle side to side. When they are little, you can swadle them and put them in the cradle swing in the room with you and fold clothes or read or something productive. It's nice, it soothes them. Also if your baby is colicky, one thing I learned is, I took my baby outside in his bouncy seat and just sat on the front porch, got a citronella candle to keep bugs away, sprayed a little bug spray on his clothes and we just had a great time outside for a few hours. It really helped his crying and made him a very active little baby. You can always message me, both of my kids are like night and day I've been through it all! My first son was 7 weeks early, had some problems, my 2nd 2 weeks late, and is the complete opposite! "
