Hey all i hope everyone's preganancies are going well!!!

Over the last week and a half i think my little one has dropped just a little bit..anyway it must be putting more pressure on my sciatic nerve...it's on my right side..its kind of in my lower back but sort of in my butt haha...anyway my question is...what have you guys done to help ease the pain?? I've tried warm baths, massages (which it feels like someone is stabbing me in that spot), walking in the middle of the night, stretching, pillows..etc....i need help guys! anyone have any advice???

p.s.. anyone else waking up EVERY hour!?!??! cuz i just started doing that for the last few days...it's real annoying..but i guess my body is preparing me for the baby...

pps.. i'm 36 weeks!

" The only thing that helped me was a heating pad. I woke up every hour during my last weeks of pregnancy too. Definitely getting you ready for the baby! lol! Good luck to you. "

" I have the same problem..I am 36 1/2 weeks. I am up every hour because something hurts...When the sciatic pain getsreal bad I get on my hands and knees and kind of rock my pelvis. It takes the pressure off and helps for a bit...it always comes back though...just remember it is almost over!!! "

" i have the same pain and nothing really relieves the pain forever. massage has helped, but only temporarily. sitting on an exercise ball feels good at that time. i just take tylenol when it gets really bad, otherwise my ob recommended trying to sleep with a pillow under the sore hip. that feels okay when i sleep. you're almost done and then the pain will go away and you'll have a precious baby. hang in there! " I have the exact same thing.. lower back, hip, and butt pain, only on the right side. Sometimes my right leg even gives out on me from it.
I've tried everything you have.. nothing really makes it feel better. they say it goes away completely once baby comes out.. like that's supposed to make you feel better now right? haha. Guess it's just one of those pregnancy symptoms we have to put up with! Men have it so easy :) lol "

" I feel your "pain" lol. I have had this for months on a off. Well at 32 weeks, its full on! I even went to physical therapy a couple of months back. They showed be quite a few exercises and stretches to do. Its the only thing that helps, but u have to do them every day several times a day. I am not that dedicated of course. Heating pads, massages won't work b/c its not a muscluar issue. Maybe a chriopractor, but my OB refused to recommend one.
And yes I too am waking up every couple of hours to pee. Totally sucks, I am so miserible at this point and still have 2 months. UGGG! I need to remain positive "

" my midwife suggested a physio therapist for my pain, she said they could do something to re align my pelvis to take the pressure off. i made the appointment but never made it as my son was 5 weeks early.
she said some women think it works great but others had no luck "

" i'm almost 15 weeks and this is already bothering me. I think that I may have pinched a nerve maybe a yr ago while laying on the couch watching tv and had to sneeze. i think a nerve was pinched because every since then that sciatic nerve has been bothering me. it doesnt help me much that i have a bit of a butt to begin with so when i lay on my back even for a few minutes theres that arch in my lower back that isnt getting supported. really hot baths have ease the pain, i find going for a swim and the cooler water helps as well. it's only going to get worse for me !
