Girl, don't worry. I wondered the same thing. I think we all do, but the truth is, it doesen't change. I even had a third degree tear down there and I'm normal, even from the time I had my baby, I looked normal and felt normal, just hurt a little. But if your worried about sex afterward, you can't tell anything, and you can't tell anything by looking either. Don't worry, your body will go right back to normal, atleast "down there!" Good luck

Whew, that's reassuring! I was wondering about that, too. I've seen a lot of vaginal deliveries when I was in school, (I'm a nurse practitioner) but this is my first baby so I really don't know much about how things "down there" turn out after having the baby. And it's not something I really learned about in school, either, so I was unsure. I know Kegel exercises are supposed to help, though.

I have kind of big kids and what they may do is induce you a little early. I was induced with my daughter because she was getting big but had her vaginally just fine. You will be back to normal. I had sex 3 weeks postpartem with both kids. My son was 7LB 2OZ and my daughter was 8LB 4OZ. I plan to not be induced this time around so we will see how big this one gets! LOL Vaginal is way quicker recovery than c-section and has less complications. It will be ok.

I sure wish that mine went back to normal after my delivery. It didn't. I asked my OB and she said that after pushing a kid out, things will never be the same down there again. I'm still able to enjoy sex (actually, a little more than before) but it's just looser than it was. I'm very jealous to hear that some of you noticed no changes afterwards. ;)

I never went completly back to normal but it wasnt that big of a change..With my first child I tore very badly and even had the episiotomy..With my second I just had a minor tear..Tears are horrible..I never felt the tearing with my first, but with my second my labor went so fast I had no option for pain meds. so Yes I felt myself tearing..Which again was horrible..But in the end you heal and forget about it..

i pushed a 10lb.4oz. baby through and it did go back to 'normal'.it is alittle bit 'looser' but completly functionable. with my first daughter they cut me,23 stitches on the outside, that took forever to heal from and she was only 8lb.12oz. with my second , who was the 'big'one they did not cut me and i had about 7 stitches and healed alot faster. so i suggest you just tear, don't let them cut you.

Don't worry things do go back to normal. Even if it is a large baby. My first daughter weighed 8lbs 9oz, and her head circumference was 37cm. This is considered a large head. If your babys head is large thats the only thing you should have trouble with. My daughters head was the hardest part to push out. But no you are not stretched out forever you do go back to normal size again. It takes approximately 2-3 weeks. But have no fear it will be normal again.

My little girl was 6lbs. 4ozs. and I didn't have to have stiches. Everyone I knew thought that was amazing. Kept saying I had a big vagina. Kind of made me feel bad in a way. When my husband and I had sex for the first time after having Payton, it was the same as it had always been. If not alittle tighter. Of course it hurt the first few times. Sometimes it still kind of can. But it goes away.
