I know this is pretty random but it has to do with one of my cravings so...

I'm often craving waffles so hubby went and got me a realy nice waffle maker an di got an awesome reciepe from my grandmother BUT every time I go to make em i screw it up some how. Either I put too much or too little batter in, their under or over cooked. How the heck do you cook waffles? How much batter do you put in?

P.S.
My waffle maker has a light that goes on when ready but i still find it a little under cooked for my taste.

" lol I have NO idea because I don't have a waffle maker but I know how frustrating it is to have a craving that you can't "fix". What if you go buy a box of ones that you just put in the toaster? Or belgium waffles... *drooling* okay now you've got me started... "

" Waffles are tricky, but here is a great recipe that works well with a waffle maker.
Mix: 1 and 3/4 cup flour, 2 and 3/4 ts baking soda, 1/2 ts salt, 1 tb sugar. Set aside. Separate 3 eggs. Set egg whites aside. In bowl with yolks put 7 tb oil (can use canola or olive), 1 and 1/2 cup milk. Mix well. Add dry ingredients to this wet mix. Whip egg whites until fluffy and mix into batter with a spatula. Okay, now you are ready to cook!. With a 1/4 cup measuring cup, fill with a heaping size of the batter and drizzle on each side of the waffle iron. Close the iron and wait for light to say you are done, and open the iron. Lift the waffle out gently with a fork on the corner and put in a covered plate until all are cooked. Let me know how it goes and if you need any other tips on the recipe. There is nothing like homemade and once you have them, you never go back :) Oh, what you do not eat in one sitting you can freeze. Good luck. "
