WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF YOUR PTSD?????

Hey people. I am a student of an undergraduate pyschopathology class and my assignment was to find out what people believe to be their cause of PTSD and the best treatment. If anyone is willing and feels comfortable enough telling me these things, it will be greatly appreciated and you will be supporting my education about anxiety disorders, especially PTSD.
I myself suffered at one point from PTSD due to rape so I understand what it feels like and know that this might be a subject you are not comfortable discussing. But if you are, just send me a message with the cause of your PTSD and treatment.
Thanks!!!!

Hugs,
Alli

" Mine was triggered by work as a paramedic. I say triggered, because it was something that built up over time. I had a history of rape, abuse, and then working in the conditions that we do, and seeing the sort of crap that we do, just triggered it all. Set me off. The meds that have seemed to make somewhat of a difference have been Propranolol to ease some anxiety, and Temezepam to get some sleep. Hope this helps you out a bit. Let me know if you want more info from me! "
