When no meds will work - which is usually the case I use a heating pad. Just don't have it on too high or fall asleep with it on.

My dr gave me a prescription for Ibuprophen (600mg). She gave me a 30 day supply with no refill. I only have to take one for the first couple of days, and after that it's not so bad. By the end of the year I'll be out between cramps and the occasional bad headache.
