Okay laddies, we all have it, but the medical world doesnt agknowledge it. They say that PCOS doesn't cause physical pain.

What about the throbbing ache and discomfort that occurs on one or both sides at the ovaries? The dull ache often turns to sharp pains almost like a knife going in and out of our ovaries.

How do we get them to understand that pain is involved?

Am I the only one who feels these pains?

" No I feel that too. I usually feel it though around the time I'm supposed to get my period. Is that when it happens to you? "

" It's definately worse around that time, but the aching is almost always there. Around that time of the month seems to be when it intensifies to actual pain. It's not the same as cramps, but it hurts. "

" I definitely feel it. It hurts so bad. It's almost like you can feel your ovaries hardening if you push on that very spot. "

" My belly was aching so bad I started poking at it to see if there was a lump or something. Then BAM I touched my ovary and wanted to scream. It was like I was kicked in the manstuff. I asked my Doc and she said it was common for PCOS. She said to let her know if it gets too unbearable. "

" My friends used to tell me I was crazy everytime I would say that I felt pain in my ovaries. I feel it a lot of the time expecially around the time I get my period.(which isn't often lately) I even feel the twinge of pain when I eat a lot of carbs. It's like all the sugars are attacking my ovaries. When I was 18 I never even had a cramp, but as soon as I turned 19 I had cramps, ovarian pains, and no periods. I hope one day the get some type of drug made just for pcos. to help with all of the problems associated with it. "

" Oh Yes OVARY PAIN..., I get it every time I ovulate... It was very helpful when it came to conceiving my son!!! Though sex is the last thing you want went that kicks in..

The pain I get is like "stitch" when you've been running... and it can be so bad I just have to go to bed with every painkiller I can lay my hands on... It usually last about 12 hours... and is usually on my right side.

Another wonderful side effect of PCOS!! Hx "

" I absolutely understand what you are saying. I have felt that every month. The oral contraceptives alleviated it a little bit but not totally. My Gyn did tell me it was to be expected. Hurts like hell!!! "
